Hello!
In May 2021, I finished one book, made progress on 3, and started 1!
I finished reading The Conference of the Birds by Ransom Riggs, which I will be reviewing soon. It was a definite 5⭐ book for me!
I made progress on The Mechanical Maestro by Emily Owen, Pleading Hearts by S. J. Hopewell, and Harry Potter y la Piedra Filosofal (Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone) by JK Rowling. I’m allowing myself extra time to finish Harry Potter y la Piedra Filosofal because, due to it being written in Spanish, it is taking me longer to read (it usually takes me about an hour to read 10 pages, whereas I can read up to 100 pages an hour of a book written in English!!).
I started reading La Casa de Bernada Alba (The House of Bernada Alba) by Federico García Lorca, which I am allowing myself extra time to read, as it is written in Spanish.

This brings my total number of books this year up to 10!
Tomorrow, I will be posting the three books that I hope to read this month.
What books did you read, or start reading in May?
Hannah
Great post Hannah! I finished five – The Queen’s Assassin, The Queen’s Secret, The Cheerleaders, The Sun Is Also A Star (reread) and Opposite Of Always. I also started The Cousins!

Wow it’s so cool you can read in both English and Spanish I’ve always wanted to read a foreign language book but I’m not fluent enough to do so

Thank you! Maybe you might find it useful to start off with some shorter books/books that you already know, then you’ll pick up new vocabulary in your chosen language?

Yeah that’s a good idea probably best to start with a children’s book or something short and simple
