Review: The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse – Charlie Mackesy

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

One of the many books that I recieved for Christmas this year was The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse. I read it in one sitting – and in under half an hour!

This was one of the most uplifting books that I have ever read – filled with insirational quotes and beautiful drawings, I believe that there is something in this book for everyone.

As soon as I turned the first page, I didn’t tear my eyes away from each page until I’d finished. Each illustration beautifully embodied the message on each page, which I felt really enhanced my experience as a reader.

I definitely have a favourite page in this book. This is such an important message, and I also love the accompanying illustration.

One thing I loved was the Mole’s love of cake! I loved this part, especially when it was mentioned several times throughout.

This is definitely a book that I will be revisiting many times. There’s such a timeless quality embedded in each page, which is one of the many things that I think make this book so special.

Something that I’ve noticed when reading other bloggers’ reviews is that the spine covering is sometimes red and sometimes blue. For me, it’s blue, but I like the differences.

I recommend this book to everyone reading this post – as I mentioned earlier, there really is something in The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse for everyone.

Have you read this book? What did you think? Let me know in the comments!

Thank you for reading this post.

Hannah
