Monthly TBR

January 2021 TBR!

Hello!

This year, I’m aiming to read 3 books a month, so that I can achieve my goal of 36 books in 2021! I’ve never really planned my next books in advance, apart from knowing what my next book will be during the last 100 pages of my current read, to motivate me even more! Let’s see if I stick to any of these goals this year!

Rebel – Marie Lu

The sequel to Champion, the explosive finale of the Legend trilogy. Rebel follows Eden Wing’s story as he studies at his academy in Antartica.

RESPECT THE LEGEND.

IDOLIZE THE PRODIGY.

CELEBRATE THE CHAMPION…

BUT NEVER UNDERSTIMATE THE REBEL.

EDEN WING is a top student at his academy in Ross City, Antartica. But most people still know him only as Daniel Wing’s little brother.

A decade ago, Daniel was known as Day, the boy from the streets who led a revolution that saved the Republic of America.

But when Eden finds himself drawn far into Ross City’s dark side, even his legendary brother can’t save him.

At least, not on his own…

Average rating on Goodreads: 4.12⭐

Slated – Teri Terry

This is the start of a series which follows Kyla’s quest for the truth as to who she was before she was Slated.

Kyla’s memory has been erased, her personality wiped blank, her memories lost forever.

She’s been Slated.

The government claims that she was a terrorist, and that they are giving her a second chance – as long as she plays by their rules. But echoes of the past whisper in Kyla’s mind. Someone is lying to her, and nothing is as it seems. Who can she trust in her search for the truth?

Average rating on Goodreads: 4.07⭐

Fractured – Teri Terry

After whispers of Kyla’s past echo in her mind, she sets out to find the truth of who she once was. The sequel to Slated.

‘With what I did yesterday, I should be dead: zapped by the chip they put in my brain when I was Slated.’

Kyla shouldn’t remember anything from before she was Slated, but dark secrets will not stay buried. Caught between Lorder oppression and the fight for freedom, her past and present race towards a collision she may not survive.

A charismatic but dangerous figure from her past forces Kyla to choose her own path as she navigates a new world of secrets and lies – but who can she trust?

Average rating on Goodreads: 4.14⭐

These are the books that I am aiming to read this month. As I’ve got many unread books/series on my bookshelf, I have selected my monthly reads through random selection.

Have you decided what books you’re reading this month? Do you plan your reading in advance? Or do you just choose your next book as you go along? Let me know in the comments!

Thank you for reading this post.
