So we’ve finally come to the end of 2020, which I think we can all agree has been a very unusual year, and one that none of us want to repeat.
I’ve loved my first 8-and-a-bit months of being a blogger, reading other bloggers’ posts and publishing my own posts. I’ve got lots of exciting ideas for next year, which I can’t wait to publish!
Here are my blogging and reading highlights of 2020:
Best book I read in 2020
My favourite books in 2020 were: Death Sets Sail by Robin Stevens, The Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon, The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse by Charlie Mackesy and When We Collided by Emery Lord.
Death Sets Sail was an incredible end to the Murder Most Unladylike series – I can’t sing its praises enough!
The Sun is Also a Star is a book that I had been wanting to read for a while, and it certainly did not disappoint when I read it in October this year.
The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse is a lovely story of four very unlikely friends. It’s filled with inspirational and uplifting quotes, which you may have seen floating around on social media this year.
When We Collided is my last read of this year, and it was certainly an amazing book to finish on! It’s a bit similar to The Sun is Also a Star, with the aspects of romance and fate.
Blogging highlight of 2020:
For this, I’d say the Murder Most Unladylike challenge I did in the run up to the publication of Death Sets Sail. Dedicating a post each day to a series which I love so much was incredible!
Favourite post to write:
I’ve loved writing all my posts, but if I had to pick a favourite, I think I’d pick either Save Our Theatres!, Death Sets Sail Review (pretty much the whole Murder Most Unladylike Challenge), or The Sun is Also a Star Review.
Thank you to everyone who has read, followed, commented or liked my blog! I’m so happy that so many readers are enjoying my blog – I genuinely love writing each post, and reading more and more. If I hadn’t started this blog, I know that I wouldn’t have read as many books this year as I have – I’m now even more motivated to power through each book as I know that I can write a review at the end!
Tomorrow, I will be sharing the books that I read this year, and I will be posting my goals for 2021.
Happy New Year!
